Idaho’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased in September, rising by one-tenth of a percent to 3.1% from 3% in August. September’s labor force increased by 2,171 people to 969,376.
Enrollment for 2 Idaho Colleges are reporting record freshman enrollment this fall. The University of Idaho in Moscow says there are 18-hundred 49 new students while ISU reports 17 hundred 59 new freshmen.
This October, the Idaho Lottery is guaranteeing big money on two tickets. The Idaho Lottery will be selling two winning tickets worth $1 million each. There are 17,800 prizes other than the two $1 million tickets that range from $15 up to $10,000. There are 15 daily $1,000 winners picked during the first 15 days.
Idaho gas prices are dropping, but the high cost of crude oil and steady fuel demand are slowing their descent. According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular in the Gem State is $3.94, which is a nickel less than a week ago, 20 cents less than a month ago, and 42 cents less than a year ago. Meanwhile, the national average currently sits at $3.55 per gallon.

Yesterday the dirt was turned signaling the construction for the new Minico high School Agriculture and FFA building. The Ag building will begin pouring concrete on the first of November and the construction process is expected to be completed by January.
It was also a groundbreaking ceremony in Twin Falls as county officials turned the dirt to begin the construction of the judicial building. It will be built in front of the existing county courthouse and is expected to be completed in January of 2026.
