A hangar collapse at Rickenbacker Street and Luke Street near the Boise Airport left three people dead and nine people injured yesterday evening just after 5. A privately owned hanger that was under construction collapsed. Five of the nine injured are in critical condition
and all are being treated at local hospitals.

A man was found dead by police early yesterday after officers responded to a call to a Nampa Alley. At 3:38 a.m., a caller said a man was lying in an alley in the 1200 block of 3rd Avenue North. Upon arrival, first responders found a man dead with "what appeared to be stab wounds. The victim was identified as 29-year-old Abel Saenz of Caldwell. One person is in custody.
37 year old Brandon Aaron Drake of Twin Falls could be spending up to 24 years in prison if he is found guilty of a pair of felony burglary and grand theft charges. He allegedly illegally entered a business in north Hailey in August 2023 and stole nearly $4,000 worth of equipment that included tools, a generator and power distribution boxes.
An Ada County judge has rejected an open meetings lawsuit against the State Board of Education a potential breakthrough for the $685 million University of Phoenix purchase. The State Board “reasonably believed” the University of Idaho was vying with other bidders for Phoenix, justifying its closed-door discussions, Ada County District Judge Jason Scott ruled. Scott’s ruling clears one major obstacle blocking the U of I’s proposed Phoenix purchase.
