Road Construction update on the freeway between Jerome and Twin Falls.  ITD say they will begin bringing paving equipment into the median of I-84 on Monday. Paving in the median of I-84 between the South Jerome Interchange and the 400 South Road Bridge is scheduled to begin the week of May 13th.  Paving the new lanes in the median of I-84 will take a couple of months.



The mysterious disappearance of a Boise woman has come to a close after a group of volunteers studied tens of thousands of drone images until they spotted human remains in the Owyhees.  The remains belonged to 27 year old Gwen Brunelle and were found on Succor Creek Road, off of U.S. Highway 95 in eastern Oregon. She went missing nearly a year ago.  The exact cause of death is still being determined.



Bryan Kohberger, the man accused of murdering four University of Idaho students, made an appearance in a Latah County court yesterday. During Thursday's proceedings, the judge overseeing the case, Judge John Judge, made a ruling to close two forthcoming hearings. These closed hearings will primarily address the potential relocation of Kohberger's trial away from Latah County.



Saying no to the ATF.  Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador joined Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach in filing a lawsuit on behalf of 21 states opposing an ATF rule that would prevent Americans from privately selling firearms. It could make a felon of a gun hobbyist who sells a firearm to another family member, or a hunter who trades a firearm with a friend.



The Idaho Supreme Court has agreed to expedite a lawsuit over the Legislature’s move to revoke a planned sale of the ITD campus.  The highest bidders for the agency's vacant 44-acre State Street headquarters filed a lawsuit with the state’s high court on April 25, alleging this year's ITD budget bill was unconstitutional.  The state has 14 days to respond.



The vehicular manslaughter charge against 21 year old Braxton Streling was bound over to district court.  The Heyburn man was charged in the death of 20 year old Peyton Walton. In September of last year authorities found the victim’s body.  He had been run over after allegedly running into a cornfield.  It’s alleged that Streling was performing reverse donuts with his vehicle.
