A wildfire burning on BLM land west of Oakley has scorched 423 acres.  Crews arrived on scene Saturday and have been able to stop the movement.



The discussion of a new fast food restaurant in Twin Falls is set for tomorrow evening.  The Planning and Zoning for Twin Falls is inviting residents to express their thoughts at a meeting.  The developers want to remove the outback steakhouse for the new location.  They are asking for a special use permit to extend hours and have a drive-up.



The Idaho Democrats spent the weekend in Moscow for their state convention.  More than 300 delegates attended the 2 day conference.  Topics discussed were LGBTQ, expanding civil rates and social justice, affordable health care, women’s reproductive rights and climate change.



Fire completely destroyed a home on Falls View drive in Jerome county Friday morning.  The Jerome rural fire department quickly called for help from Twin Falls when they arrived on scene near the Power Plant.



A proposed amendment to the Idaho Constitution that would prohibit non-U.S. citizens from voting in Idaho elections will go before voters on the November general election ballot.  The Secretary of State’s Office will publish the language in a voter pamphlet that is sent to all Idaho voters.



Police say a 20 year old man from Shoshone died after he lost control of his pickup while westbound near 520 north in Lincoln county over the weekend.  Authorities say it happened near the intersection of 221 East and 520 north sometime between Saturday and Sunday. 



The Mormon crickets are back in southern Idaho – with vengeance.  The Idaho State

Department of Agriculture said they can help with insecticides for those harmed by the cricket’s presence on crops.


As temperatures climb across the Gem State, AAA is warning drivers never to leave children or pets in hot cars.  A child's body temperature rises 3 to 5 times faster than that of an adult, and the inside temperature of a vehicle can increase by 20 degrees or more in as little as 10 minutes - even when a vehicle is parked in the shade with the windows cracked.
