The women of Boise State basketball hit six 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to pull away from UC Davis, winning 70-53 last night, at ExtraMile Arena. The win marked the 200th home victory for Gordy Presnell as the head coach of the Broncos. The Broncos started out strong, forcing five Aggie (2-4) turnovers in the first seven minutes to jump out to a 14-0 lead. UC Davis brought itself back into the game quickly, ending the quarter on a 11-1 run to cut the deficit to four at the end of the first.
Idaho Vandal Ladies defeated the Utah State Aggies yesterday morning with a score of 70 to 43.
For the men, Denver downed Idaho 67 to 65.
To the local high school scoreboards, first for the girls games, Oakley defeated Richfield 45 to 27. Murtaugh downed Dietrich 70 to 68 in double overtime and Rockland outlasted Hagerman 44 to 16.
For the boys, Glenns Ferry bested Richfield 63 to 21. Preston said no to Burley 63 to 34. It was Jerome defeating Buhl 49 to 47. Hagerman outlasted Shoshone 75 to 24.
Todays schedule first for the girls, Declo meet up with West Jefferson at the Ririe Bulldog
Shootout in Ririe. Camas County travels to Castleford, Lighthouse Christian will host Richfield, Filer Travels to Buhl and Twin Falls goes crosstown to play Canyon Ridge. Shoshone Travels to Hagerman. Jerome boards the bus to Mountain Home and Wendell and Ririe will be part of the Ririe Bulldog shootout.
For the Boys Mountain Home will play Green Canyon Utah in the Coach Rod Tueller Classic in North Logan Utah. In that same tournament, Twin Falls will play Ridgeline Utah. Camas County travels to Castleford and American Falls will travel to Filer to take on the Wildcats. Lighthouse Christian will travel to Richfield and Rockland travels to Hansen. Valley boards the bus to Wendell.
