From the state high school football games, the finals for the season, Butte County defeated Oakley 58 to 44. Bishop Kelly downed Hillcrest 29 to 26. Westside took the win over Declo 41 to 13. Highland of Pocatello outlasted Coeur d’Alene 35 to 28 and Sugar-Salem outlasted Teton 63 to 27.

Here are some High school basketball finals for the girls over the weekend. Richfield outlasted Rimrock 41 to 24. Century downed Burley 37 to 30. Dietrich defeated Castleford 48 to 12. Snake River defeated Filer 52 to 41. Valley outlasted Gooding 49 to 31. Jerome took the win over Kimberly 61 to 45. Mountain Home downed Buhl 54 to 31. Glenns Ferry defeated Castleford 52 to 24. Declo took the win over Ambrose 35 to 51.

On today’s girls basketball schedule, Rimrock travels to Glenns Ferry. Murtaugh goes to Wendell.

The fourth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team struggled offensively, ultimately falling to Mesa 63-60 Saturday on the road. Mesa is ranked sixth in the NJCAA Division II polls. The Golden Eagles shot just 35 percent from the field and 22 percent from long range.

The 21st-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball beat New Mexico Military 78-59 Saturday to improve to 6-3 overall. Guards Jaylon Johnson and Asim Jones were again the catalysts for the Golden Eagles win.

On the road for the first time in 2023-24, Boise State men's basketball fell to Clemson, 85-68, Sunday at Littlejohn Coliseum.

Other college basketball games from over the weekend, the Cal State Los Angeles golden eagles squeaked past Northwest Nazarene 77 to 73 on Saturday. On Friday Westminster from Salt Lake downed northwest Nazarene 75 to 74. The Idaho Vandals outlasted Pacific Lutheran 96 to 52.

A relentless rushing attack and ferocious pass rush helped Boise State extend its streak of bowl-eligible seasons to 26, as the Broncos defeated Utah State, 45-10. Boise State scored 45 unanswered points, including 31 in the second quarter, to earn a crucial conference win over the Aggies. The win - the first under interim head coach Spencer Danielson - made Boise State bowl eligible for the 26th consecutive year.

Elsewhere in college football the Idaho vandals downed the Idaho State Bengals 63 to 21.
