Sophomore Kasey Aguinaga and freshman Abby Dowell combined on three-hit shutout and Boise State defeated host UT Arlington 6-0 at the Maverick softball Invitational, yesterday. The victory was the first for Dowell and the fourth-straight for the Broncos. The Broncos travel to Lake Charles, La., to take on McNeese, tomorrow at 6 p.m.
From the hardwood, as the boys high school district games move on, yesterday, Kimberly downed Buhl 60 to 55. Kimberly will now square off once again with the Filer Wildcats in the championship. Filer will host the title game tomorrow at 7 pm
Lighthouse took the win over Castleford 57 to 44. It was Carey defeating Raft River 62 to 56. The Trojans are now eliminated.
On today’s boy’s district schedule, Wood River will visit Jerome. Carey and Lighthouse Christian will play at the College Of Southern Idaho, Wendell travels to Declo, Hagerman and Dietrich will travel and play in Gooding. Burley goes to Twin Falls and Valley and Oakley will meet up at the College of Southern Idaho.
