Boise State men's basketball secured the 82-50 victory over San Jose State after jumping out to a 38-16 lead heading into the break, Tuesday night at ExtraMile Arena. The Broncos went on a 21-6 run in the final 11:43 of the first half. Boise State continues the final stretch of the conference season with a pair of road games. The Broncos open the road swing at Wyoming, Saturday, and close it at Air Force next Tuesday.
To the boys high school district basketball playoff scoreboard from yesterday. The 1AD1 Snake River Conference Championship was held Tuesday night at the College of Southern Idaho. Valley defeated Oakley 50 to 36. Valley claimed the Snake River District Championship for the first time since 2019 and will advance to the state tournament. Oakley will play Carey on Thursday in Jerome and the winner advances to the state tournament at7:00.
Elsewhere, in 4A play, Wood River bested Jerome 61 to 57. The Wood River Wolverines stay alive in the tournament and will play Twin Falls in a loser-out game today. The winner advances to the second-place game and has a chance at a state tournament berth. The Tigers season comes to an end.

In 2A play, Declo downed Wendell 76 to 61. The Declo Hornets claim their second straight 2A Canyon Conference Championship, beating Wendell 76-61. The Hornets heads to state to play starting next Thursday. The Trojans season comes to an end.
In 1A D1 action, Carey defeated Lighthouse Christian 50 to 48. The Carey Panthers advance to the second-place game, where they will fight for a state championship spot. They will play Oakley tomorrow at Jerome High School at 7:00. The Lions season comes to an end.
In 1A D2 action, Dietrich defeated Hagerman 73 to 62. The Blue Devils advance to the championship game on today against Camas County at the Gooding High School at 7:00. The Pirates season comes to an end.
