Brandon Jones is the newest member of the Boise State football program. Jones, who spent the past five years at Vanderbilt, joins the Broncos as the program's General Manager. In his role, he will help oversee roster development and will play an integral role in recruiting and scouting. He spent the past three seasons as the Director of Scouting at Vanderbilt. While in the Music City, he was responsible for evaluating high school and college evaluations nationwide, developing prioritized prospect watch lists and organized prospect camps. The two prior years, he was also at Vanderbilt as offensive quality control.
College of Southern Idaho Sophomore Tessa Hokanson has been named the NJCAA player of the week. The second baseman finished the weekend with no errors in the field in leading the 17th-ranked Golden Eagles to four wins over the College of Southern Nevada. At the plate, Hokanson hit .750 with four doubles, two triples and two home runs.
