The intersection and surrounding road at State highway 50 and 3800 East near the Hansen Bridge in Twin Falls County was blocked for about 6 hours yesterday morning when a truck hauling 2 by 4’s accidently dumped the load.  Police say the driver of the semi avoided a crash when a car failed to yield at the intersection causing the load to shift. 



Motorists who use Blue Lakes in Twin Falls, specifically the southbound lanes south of Caswell Avenue to filer Avenue will need to find an alternate route tomorrow.  Crews will close both lanes beginning at 9:30 pm. For construction work.  They will be working through the night and expect to open the road Thursday morning around 7.



A new initiative from state superintendent Debbie Critchfield and the Department of Education is shining a light on professional standards for educators.  The number of ethical misconduct allegations against educators increased 56% in 2022.  Less than one-third of the 338 misconduct allegations over the last five years led to disciplinary action.



Idaho was once home to six federally-funded Native American boarding schools, including two where more than a dozen children died.   Altogether, at least 42 children died at the schools in Fort Hall and Fort Lapwai, according to a federal report.



Idaho public health officials are investigating an outbreak of bacterial infections in 18 people who drank raw milk.  Before they got sick, all but one of them told health officials they drank raw milk produced by Paradise Grove Dairy.  Located in Jefferson County, the eastern Idaho dairy distributes milk across southern Idaho.



Non-living zebra mussels a fast-spreading invasive species that can clog pipes have been detected in Marimo moss balls being sold in Idaho.  The Idaho State Department of Agriculture said the mussels were found on moss balls shipped to a Boise aquarium product retailer, and that all products were voluntarily surrendered to the state agriculture agency for proper disposal.
