Four massage parlors in Twin Falls were raided by Police yesterday morning.  Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office, Jerome County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho State Police, and the Mini-Casia drug task force, served four search warrants simultaneously on four separate massage parlors in the City of Twin Falls.  The massage parlors involved include Perfect Massage in the 500 block of Addison Avenue West, Dragon Massage in the 1300 block of Addison Avenue East, Massage 404 in the 400 block of 2nd Avenue East, and Sunflower Day Spa in the 1200 block of Addison Avenue East.



Data centers being rapidly built in the West are becoming an “emerging risk” to electrical grid reliability in the region, according to regional transmission experts.  There are more than 700 data centers in the west, including 109 in Oregon and six in Idaho.



A threatening email about the presidential election sparked an alarming message sent by an Idaho Capitol building alert system that told Capitol employees to evacuate immediately. Some Capitol workers received an alert that instructed them to leave the Boise building at 9:05 a.m. yesterday.  Workers were told there would be a bomb at the Capitol if Democratic candidate Kamala Harris didn’t win the November presidential election.



Idahoans who don’t pay their child support could lose their Idaho fish and game license.  Right now those who owe part of the 130-million in Idaho Past due child support can lose their driving privileges.  In a news release the department said Idaho kids need the support to thrive and succeed.  



The Jerome County Sheriff’s office arrested 42 year old Jessica McConnell following the disappearance of 7 year old Edna Ann Penrose.  The girl was supposed to be returned to her father on July 26th. 



MiQuavis Taylor will spend at least 35 years in prison for the murder of a Twin Falls tattoo artist.  Last November Taylor and Kaden Thomson murdered 32-year-old Freddy Rodriquez outside of his home during a robbery. Taylor and Thomson attempted to steal Rodriguez’s vehicle. Rodriguez confronted them with a baseball bat and was then shot several times in the chest.



SPORTS



Sports return to southern Idaho and the Filer Boys soccer team hosted the Declo hornets yesterday to kick off their games.  The final score Filer 9 Declo 1.  Tomorrow Filer travels to Wendell and Declo goes to Kimberly.  Other boys soccer games yesterday find the Sun Valley Community School taking the win over Wendell 3 to 2.  Kimberly 2 Bliss 0 and Gooding downed Buhl 8 to 0.



For the Girls it was Kimberly 4 Bliss 1.  Buhl outlasted Gooding 12 to 1 and it was Filer 5 Declo 3.



Idaho State Soccer has had an encouraging start to the non-conference slate, including two shutouts from Big Sky Co-Player of the Week Trinity Hale in three matches across eight days of action.  After a trio of road games in Colorado and Boise to kick off the season, the Bengals are set to return home for an evening matchup against the Oregon State Beavers tomorrow, at 6:00pm at Davis Field.   The two orange and black schools are facing off for only the second time, and the first since the turn of the century, following a 0-1 barnburner favoring the Beavers in 1998.



It’s time for High school football and this morning we look at the Buhl High School.  Entering his second year as head coach  Josh Creasey is ready to build on last season's progress, and is committed to fostering a competitive and cohesive unit.  The Buhl Indians return several key players this season, including junior quarterback Zack Azevedo, senior running back/linebacker Gabe Finley, and junior tight end/defensive end Porter Higley.



For the Burley Bobcats, As Cameron Andersen enters his third year as head coach of Burley High School's football team, he is ready to lead a team brimming with returning talent.  The Burley Bobcats return nine starters from their last season, including key players such as senior quarterback Mack Jensen, running back Bodee Coombes, and a formidable offensive and defensive line anchored by seniors Michael Martinez, Brock Terry, and Damien Ulloa.  Despite losing arguably the best football player to ever walk the hallways of Burley High School in Gatlin Bair, who has taken his talents to the University of Oregon, wide receivers Kendrix Knobbe and Tregan Darrington, along with several other experienced players, will add depth to the roster.



Tomorrow is day one of the Twin Falls county fair and rodeo with the Junior rodeo set to kick off the events.  Then it’s PRCA rodeo action Thursday through Saturday.  On Sunday the Concert with Nate Smith and Drake  Milligan.  On Monday it’s the Monster Truck show.  Admission is $9 at the gate.
